Marquita, Founder of MBrace Your Journey, brings over 18 years of coaching and mentoring experience dedicated to helping individuals and organizations build stronger, healthier relationships. Her passion is creating thriving teams and meaningful connections, whether the relationship is with yourself, your spouse, child, colleague, business partner, student, or friend. She believes that relationships are the foundation of success in every area of life.
Marquita’s mission is to help individuals understand their unique success blueprint while cultivating healthy, functional relationships at home, within families, and in the workplace. Through insight, practical tools, and intentional growth strategies, she empowers people to communicate more effectively, lead with confidence, and build connections that support both personal fulfillment and professional achievement.

Outside of her professional work, Marquita is an avid reader, former athlete, dedicated sports fan, board game enthusiast, and skilled card player. When she’s not spending quality time with family and friends, she’s often learning something new or enjoying a competitive game or sporting event. Having played sports and learned strategic card games at a young age, Marquita developed an early appreciation for teamwork, strategy, and human behavior. Understanding team dynamics and knowing how to thoughtfully respond to individuals and groups has been a lifelong interest and study.
That curiosity naturally evolved into her passion for relationship science and human connection. Her academic background in Sociology, Criminal Justice, Mental Health Counseling, Conflict Resolution, and Mediation has been instrumental in shaping her professional path and approach. Marquita blends strategy, psychology, and real world insight to help individuals and teams better understand themselves and each other, creating stronger relationships both on and off the field.
Marquita finds immense joy in both learning and teaching the principles of relationship science, conflict management, and team building. While educating others on these dynamics is a true passion, what fulfills her most is helping individuals discover their path, clarify their purpose, and step confidently into their life’s mission.
She is equally energized by supporting organizations in creating healthier work environments where employees feel valued, engaged, and empowered to perform at their highest potential. Seeing teams communicate better, collaborate effectively, and grow together is deeply rewarding for her.
